Nos 1930s atrasados, Walter Lantz decidiu-se que necessitou uma estrela nova. Algo original. Um dia, Lantz olhava o papel e viu que o jardim zoológico de Chicago tinha recebido apenas um urso do panda. Isso é quando se decidiu que sua estrela nova deve ser um panda.
Com esta idéia, criou o panda de Andy, para seu retrato seguinte, vida começa para o panda de Andy (uma decolagem na película hardy de Andy com o mesmo nome, com o "hardy" substituindo o "panda" naturalmente). Nesta película, o nascimento de Andy ocorre, e mostra que Andy que cresce até seja completamente uma criança do problema, não escutando avisos do seu pai sobre entrar no aberto onde será capturado "e para pôr em um newsreel" por pigmeus. Vagueando para fora, Andy começa blissfully seu pai travado em uma armadilha. Quando a palavra sai que Andy e seu PNF estão sendo perseguidos, todos os animais da selva vêm ao salvamento (mesmo o mom de Andy que dá aos pigmeus um wack agradável, duro com sua bandeja fritando).
Esta película não foi vista na tevê por anos, devido a ela são os stereotypes pygmy e o Sr. Whippletree.
